Three steps from application to your first digital case.
Step 1
Submit a Short Application
Tell us about your practice and the scanner you want. We review the application and confirm the monthly minimum for that scanner.
Step 2
Agree on the Monthly Minimum
Before the scanner ships, we go over the monthly minimum and the written program terms with you. There is no fixed term: you keep the scanner as long as your practice meets the minimum.
Step 3
Receive Your Scanner & Go Digital
The scanner usually arrives 2 to 3 weeks after approval, and we cover shipping. You set up the scanner, the manufacturer trains your team, and we help you send your first cases: crowns and bridges, implant restorations, full-arch and cosmetic cases.

Your Digital Lab Partner
Our technicians review every scan before production, and you talk directly with the people making your case.
Scanner Training and Service
Training, onboarding and equipment service come from the scanner’s manufacturer. Our team helps you connect the scanner to our lab and send your first cases.
Every Scan Reviewed
Our CAD/CAM technicians review every scan and mark the margin. If a scan has a problem, such as not enough room for the restoration, an incomplete bite or missing adjacent teeth, we call your office before we start the case.
On request, we show you the design, contacts and occlusion before milling.
Ongoing Support for Full-Arch and Implant Cases
Send implant and full-arch cases straight from your scanner: custom abutments, screw-retained crowns and bridges, and full-arch restorations, all made in our Brooklyn lab.

Common Questions About Our Intraoral Scanner Program
Is the intraoral scanner really free?
There is no purchase price. The scanner is free to use while your practice meets a monthly lab minimum, which depends on the scanner. If your lab work falls below the minimum in a month, we charge the difference.
What counts toward the monthly minimum?
All the lab work you send us counts, at our standard fees. There is a ramp-up period in your first months in the program; ask us for the details.
Who owns the scanner? Can we buy it?
The scanner remains the property of Elegant Dental Laboratory and is not for sale. There is no fixed term: your practice keeps it as long as it meets the monthly minimum. The terms are set out in a written program agreement.
Which scanners are available?
New scanners from all major brands, in the model you choose, including 3Shape TRIOS, iTero, Dentsply Sirona, Medit, Carestream, Planmeca, Shining 3D, ORI and Panda. Our featured scanners are the 3Shape TRIOS 3 and TRIOS 6; their pages show the minimum and what is included.
Who can join, and how soon do we get the scanner?
New and existing Elegant Dental Laboratory clients anywhere in the United States. The scanner usually arrives 2 to 3 weeks after approval, and we cover shipping.
Do we have to send all our cases to Elegant?
No. You only need to meet the monthly minimum. You can also use the scanner to send scans to other labs and to aligner companies.
Who trains us and services the scanner?
You set up the scanner yourself. Training, onboarding and equipment service come from the scanner manufacturer, and our team helps you connect the scanner to our lab and send your first cases.
Do you accept scans from my intraoral scanner?
Yes. Send STL or PLY files from any major intraoral scanner through your scanner's own connection or our Lab Portal. You do not need to change your practice software.
What happens if a scan has a problem?
Our technicians review every scan before production. If a scan has a problem, such as not enough room for the restoration, an incomplete bite or missing adjacent teeth, we contact your office before we start.
